I am so excited that you are here and so thrilled to welcome you to my motherhood and lifestyle blog. I love having a space where I can connect with other women and moms who hold down their homes and families each and every day. I'll be sharing my adventures in motherhood, documenting the ups and downs and highs and lows with all of you. I will also share tips and and information that I've learned along the mommy way that I hope can be of help to you or maybe just make your day a little bit easier. I will also be sharing my love and affinity for home and interior design. I love a bright, traditional home with neutral furnishings and rustic elements. I sprinkle in a little color to add some visual interest also.

I love to learn and I love to share and since the birth of my son in 2015 I have learned a lot and I have shared a lot. I was actually inspired to start this blog by a conversation I had with another mom during a recent trip to Target. I was in the baby aisle, which is where I spend 90% of my time when I go shopping at Target, when a mom approached me and asked if I could help her. She was looking for a sippy cup for her 12 month old daughter and couldn't decide. She shared with me how her family members and friends were giving her such a hard time because her daughter was still using a bottle. I immediately felt her pain. As mothers we are judged so often and sometimes harshly and in my opinion it really needs to stop. I told her this and I also explained that all babies are different and have different needs. I shared with her that my son didn't stop drinking from his bottle until he turned 2 years old and that as moms we have to make decisions for our children based on their individuals needs and circumstances and not on what others think is best. I gave her my opinion on which sippy cup might work well for her daughter but told her that just like many decisions moms have to make, it really is a matter of trial and error. She thanked me and we both continued with our shopping.

I've had conversations like this a number of times at different locations with other moms. Each time it surprised me that someone was seeking motherly advice from me. I'm normally the one seeking the motherly advice from my mom and the other moms in my life that I love and trust. But this last conversation was different. It was different because I answered her all of her questions with confidence. Not the confidence of being a medical professional or an expert in motherhood but with the confidence that, 'Yes, I am a mom. And although I don't always know what is best, I am always trying my best for my child.' This confidence is what has led me here and to creating this blog. I don't have all the answers but I work each and every day to get the answers that I need for the benefit of my child. And I want to share these answers with you. And I want to learn from you. I cannot thank you enough for reading this post and visiting. Your support means the world to me and I hope that we can reach out to one another and grow with each other. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
